eSIM for backpacking in Latin America
Several countries on one eSIM, with the Americas pack. Here: which countries it really covers and how many GB you need.
Which countries the Americas pack covers
The pack covers Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. It doesn’t cover Mexico, Belize, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic: if your route goes there, for those days you need that country’s eSIM.
An example route
Lima → Cusco → La Paz → Uyuni → Atacama Desert → Santiago → Mendoza → Buenos Aires: 4 countries, all in the pack, on one plan.
How many GB do you need?

| 30 days | 3 GB · 30 days (€29.95) | None is enough: 20 GB · 30 days and, if it runs out, another | None is enough: 20 GB · 30 days and, if it runs out, another |
The GB range for each type of use comes from our data calculator, and the plans are the ones in the catalogue today.
Do you need it?
If you’re spending the whole trip in one country, that country’s eSIM costs much less: in Peru, the 20 GB plan costs €55.95, against €97.95 for the Americas pack.
The pack is worth it when you cross borders: one plan, one installation and data as you arrive in each country.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to change eSIM in every country?
No, as long as the country is in the pack: it’s one plan for all of them. A country outside the pack needs its own eSIM.
What if my trip is longer than 30 days?
The pack’s plans last up to 30 days. When yours runs out, you buy another and receive it as a new eSIM, with its own QR code.
When does the plan start counting?
When the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination. Installing it at home doesn’t use up any days.
